Val sesia Teva contest
I was in Valsesia this W.E. to make a portract of Fred Gilardone, secretary of the comite for val sesia preservation.
Fred charging the sesia in his wave hopper.
They now have a 20 year protection plan for the rivers in the area.
And there was a nice event there so I registered because they were pushing me. There was at least 3 to 4 years that I haven’t done any competition. Saturday was a boarder cross were i took the 3rd place not bad knowing the best italien were there. And sunday I finished 5th at the 6mn downriver race, only 10s from the first one without having ever paddled that section of the sesia
All in all pretty happy of the W.E. especially as I get to know more Fred wich is a very nice and interesting guy.
A quick photo of me taken by fred on the sorba:
Video Ticino is online
Here you can see the video we made for French national TV in April. As broadcasted on May 8th . There’s a few mistakes as always with TV journalists, Ticino is not in Val d’Aoste
But it shows pretty well our sport. And it’s always good to see a bit of kayak on national TV on a Saturday afternoon.
Enjoy:
CORSICA EASTER SESSIONS – PART 3
Hey everybody!
All good things come to an end, so here it is: The last part of the Team Liquidlogic 2010 Corsica kayak sessions. The rivers you see in this part are the famous Fium Orbo, Rizzanese and the Travo. Esp. on this steep creeks the Jefe showed up its boof performance and speed to challange big drops and nasty backwashes.
The sad thing about this trip is, that this year was one of the last ones you could paddle the Rizzanese. The French national energy supplier EDF is building a huge dam with an hydro-electric power plant. So the upper and standard section of this classic Corsican whitewater river will be lost in nearer future!
Nevertheless enjoy some of the last pictures of the Rizzanese.

Moinsen,
